4th of July

I was all set for hot dogs, Ruffles, baked beans and ice cream. Sure we'll have vegetables like salad, corn on the cob, and fruit like berries and melons. But I wanted the hot dogs, Ruffles, and baked beans. (The ice cream stays regardless.) I was overruled in our home. The menu will be shish kabobs, rice pilaf, and salad. Corn on the cob, thankfully, gets to stay. I say the majority living in my house are all terrorists, communists, or just hate American and all it stands for. Sheesh. I'll be fine. I'll slap those dogs on the BBQ sometime over the weekend. Meantime, if the FBI is scanning this blog you might want to take a closer look at those coming to my place on the 4th. I question their patriotism.

Whats on your menu for the 4th?

Unfortunately no hot dogs here... but no rice pilaf either. Burgers, Chicken, Kabobs, baked beans, coleslaw, apple dumplings, and all kinds of fattening foods. I can't believe I forgot the corn on the cob!

See I found my way over to your place and now I do believe I have visited before but didn't leave a comment (probably connection took too long). I will now add you to my bloglines.

If you are taking photoshop tutorials, I'm expecting to see some great pictures! I have photoshop elements but really don't know how to use it effectively (I'm a bit lazy about reading tutorial notes!).

I was in England on July 4, 1982 visiting my Aunt and Uncle. I prepared BBQed hamburgers with ice cold beer. It was a British 4th because my Aunt insisted on trifle for dessert. I guess those red coats just can't let go.
